Photo-essay Photographs - Sacred Spaces

During this pandemic, for our photo-essay assignment I've chosen the subject of Sacred Spaces within my home. Rather than capturing people, the focus is on spaces themselves. Artist Genesis P-Orrridge once said "altar everything", a concept I took importantly to heart. Within our home there are many altar spaces that serve the purpose of nostalgia, reflection, and spirituality, bringing peace and calm focus during uncertain times. When we moved in, we dubbed our house The Spirit House. We will be moving likely within the next year, and I feel, having children who grow up so fast, that it is important to capture spaces as they are while they are there, before they are gone.  There is a certain magick in any Time and place.

This was a new camera, so some of the photo results were not as ideal as I would have liked.
